The Mod Shop is Still Open

It has been a few months since we have updated the blog. But rest assure we are still open and still satisfying your customizing needs. We have been busy working on "The Kilobyte Project" (teaser shot pictured above). After much time, money and scavanging, and after several years since its original conception, the project is now functional.

The KB Project features two identical user interfaces consisting of 15" infrared IBM Touchscreen Monitors and the UltraNav IBM keyboard/mouse/trackpoint for the ultimate in space-saver integration. Each interface is powered by a 1U Rackable Systems server modified for quieter cooling with a dual processor utilizing a dual-core P4 Xeon, 4gbs of RAM, 32bit Windows XP operating system, and a multichannel ASIO 2.0 soundcard.

The center computer functions as the Audio Mixer and MIDI router for the two interfaces using its MOTU 24i and MOTU MTPAV. It not only provides a MIDI clock source but is the Master Audio Mixer enabling multi-effects, sidechaining, and offering seem-less unification between all computers and external synthesizers, effects, and audio capture devices (i.e. didgeridoo).

The next step of course will be an impressive housing allowing for transportability to live events.
